Virginia Title Insurance adds a CPL Fee

Fidelity National Title  has adopted a filed Closing Protection Letter (CPL) Fee that is $20.00 per transaction for all files closing and disbursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Whenever Virginia Title Insurance is being ordered this fee shall be payable to the underwriter.  Of course, the fee shall not be charged for any transaction that cancels after the issuance of the CPL.

It should also be noted that this has not been officially adopted by the Commonwealth.

The newly created CPL charge will begin for all newly placed orders as of today.
