Chuck Nowicki is a born-and-raised Philadelphia native. Growing up, some of his fondest memories are of camping with his father. His love of the outdoors led Chuck into the Boy Scouts, where he held every leadership position in his troop.
Chuck attended Frankford High School, participating in track and cross country and Choir. His singing voice carried him to Italy, Austria, and Yugoslavia. While touring with the Choir, he was able to have a personal audience with Pope John Paul VI! His favorite memory from those days is visiting northern Italy’s jaw-droppingly beautiful Lake Como, the shores of which have been popular for tourists going all the way back to the Romans.
After graduating from Frankford, Chuck enrolled in evening classes at Temple University. Chuck was married in 1979 and has two children, a boy and a girl. He coached his daughter’s softball and soccer teams, regularly practicing with the team in suit pants and dress shoes—the latter of which aren’t great for traction, he says.
A deeply empathetic individual, Chuck is committed to numerous humanitarian causes. He was a member and past president of the Lions Club of Philadelphia, which is dedicated to helping the blind and visually impaired. One of his most recent passions is cycling, and he has participated in all of the local charity rides, including the MS Ride, ACS Ride, Pedal for the Promise, and the Diabetes Ride among others, raising over $10,000 for their worthy causes in the process. He currently rides with Team Evesham and is a Ride Leader.
In addition to his various civic causes, Chuck is also quite active professionally. He grew up in the business and has examined titles and conducted settlements for over 20 years. He is very active with the Pennsylvania Land Title Association and served on the numerous committees including being Chairman of the Professional Designation Committee from 2011-2016 and is currently the Association’s Secretary. The Albert E.Pentecost Service Award was awarded to him in 2015. He earned the Certified Land Title Professional Designation (the highest designation in PA) in 2011. In March of 2016, Chuckattained his National Title Professional (NTP) Designation from the American Land Title Association, which is the highest designation of its kind in the nation.
