Some Philadelphia Closings Delayed; Virus Shuts Down Office of Judicial Records

By admin

Websites and computer programs associated with the City of Philadelphia’s First District court system have been infiltrated by a virus.

As a result, the Philadelphia Office of Judicial Records, including both Common Pleas and Municipal Court docket searching, is currently offline and unavailable.

Because it is currently impossible to obtain complete searches or bringdowns, all files with an effective date before March 1, 2019, will now be delayed until the city’s systems are restored.

Your closing may proceed if:

If your closing is with regard to a Philadelphia property that is to occur on or before June 10, 2019 and a commitment was issued with an effective date of March 1, 2019, or later, the closing may proceed.

It is unclear how long the shutdown will continue.

If it appears that closings expected to take place after June 10, 2019, will be impacted, we will issue an additional alert.
